SRAM XX2 cassette costs 3X more than Shimano XT?
I am looking at putting my gravel bike on a 1X setup and will use SRAM shifters and derailler.
The SRAM XX2 cassettes are insanely expensive, over $300, but I can get a Shimano XT cassette for $100.
Assuming I don't care about the 10 speed cog on the SRAM and can live with an 11 is there any reason why I wouldn't save myself $200 here?

I am generally a SRAM guy (okay, I'm really a Campy guy but they don't have a solid CX or MTB group), but their cassette pricing doesn't add up (or I am really missing something).

I am planning to use an Easton EC90 crankset, the bike already has Force 11 shifters and I will get a SRAM 1X rear derailler since I cannot go over 34 teeth with the current Force 11 derailler I have.

What’s XX2?

The SRAM equivalent to XT is their GX group. What ratios you get will depend on the free hub system you have on your wheels.

They can be pretty expensive. My 10-50 xx1 was $450 for the cassette alone.
