Anyone using the Notio Konect already
I just got mine in, but I'm a bit dissapointed so far. Nothing in the box except for the charging cable and, off course, the device itself. I see now in the FAQ there should have been a quick start manual.
But what really bugs me is that to download the Notion Konect app to use which is still in beta you need to download another app first. Still not a big issue but this Testflight app is a bugger. When you download this app it says it will send you a message/email with a code to actually start the app.

But no code has been send so you are basicly are stuck. I see online that this Testflight app has this buf more often but I wonder if there are users here that got the massage or code to download the Notion Konect app?

Already post a message to Notio but no response so far.

The device, by the way, looks very solid made. I must say a bit more, well, stronger or higher quality the the aeropod. I have both to compare them to eachother.
But without the code from the Testflight app there is nothing you really can do with it.

regards,

Jeroen

UPDATE:
The people at Notio responded pretty quickly in several ways, from Canada as well as from their UK/EU office.
Had a excellent conversation with Ed, from the UK, really really helpful. As it turned out the device send to me was send a bit premature by the distributor since they were not completely trained and up to date.

Ed guided me to all the steps and with the 'Testflight invite' that I got from the Canada office the set up was, well, not easy because you have to take good care on what you enter, pair, etc. But it is also not that complicated with the guidance.
I do can understand why they are doing this now by the 'tours' they have been setting up through the US and Canada.

Getting al the pieces to the puzzle together now it looks like a very promissing device. The first impression wasn't that great, but this was all due to the fact that the distributor sold me the device a bit premature and not all steps were taken care off. But I can say now that CS from Notio so far has been great.

I am excited to getting some first test rides in, but the weather is ging to be terrible this weekend here so that had to wait a bit.

I got my code from the Notio people. I thought they didn't give the device out yet without attending their meet-ups so they could help you set it up.

It is a bit tricky to get everything set up and working.

They do, at least in Europe but you can sat the least it a bit tricky to set all up. Strange that you can’t connect the Garmin Notio app to a 520+ but you need the older 520(or other garmin).

I can't help with the Notio, but I would be curious if you had any early impressions of the aeropod you could share.

I got my aeropod some time ago. Seems to me aeropod and Notio are very similar, both do not measure wind Yaw and rolling resistance, it seems those tools are hardware extensions (expanded bywind sensor) of AeroLab from golden cheetah.

AeroPod is great tool, it takes some time to setup software/hardware properly. You need to watch the video on how to calibrate it properly and what each LED blink means (by looking at manual you can only get confused) . Software is great but you also need to be very careful when installing drivers etc.

I think both are not ready for average Tri guy without any experience in technology/aero tech etc. I'm sure they will evolve once more tools like this will show up on the market and front end interface will be designed by specialists in this area. Right now user experience is driven by brainiacs behind algorithms, that means it is cool and all, but totally not ready for mainstream Joeblow. As you can see to get Notio you need "training" Any tool that needs training is out of the question for mass adaptation.

In other words: in the right hands it is amaizing tool.

Hi guys,
I’ve just got a Notio Konect but I am struggling to analyse the data via golden chetah notio connect. To begin with it turned out I had an old version but currently have the latest version for windows. I grasp the basics but I am a bit unsure on how exactly to go through the whole process when trying to find my average CDA for a certain run or lap section of a ride. With the notio guys on holiday for the festivities it would be very helpful if any of you can point me in the right Direction.
Regards

I've used the aeropod a few times on my Gravel bike ... pretty easy to use so far and it get some interesting numbers. Been playing around with it on group rides surfing wheels to see who gives me a lower CDA... drops vs hoods. Just about finished building my Tri bike for this year so that's where I will get a little more serious about the data.

Do I need a speed sensor?

yes

GPS speed would not be accurate enough.
