Apparently my home gym project is contagious- I am now contemplating some changes to the adjacent big room. It’s got a kitchenette and then it’s just a 20 x 40 sized space (total guesstimate) with a tv at the opposite end. It has carpet for the main space and tile in the kitchenette.

I’d like to make it a middle schooler hang out room. I also would like to leave it open so we can put some dog agility equipment down there. So I was thinking some of those hanging chairs - so we can take them down for agility but put them up for hanging out.

I’m curious what ideas suggestions people have to make the space inviting for the 9-14 ish crowd.
