English rocker Billy Idol became a U.S. citizen yesterday after a swearing-in ceremony held in Los Angeles, observing that "It's a nice day for a naturalization ceremony."

Okay, Britain: we did our part and took in one of yours. Now you have to take Cher or Madonna or all of the Dixie Chicks. ;-)
