They prefer to be called "sea jellies" these days ... and starfish are "sea stars," just so you know

How many jellyfish does it take to weigh 5000 pounds?

I'm beginning to think that we are much more fucked than I thought.

So, 4 years ago, I'm walking on the beach in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I'm watching this guy on a Stand Up Paddleboard. There's a fin following him. About 2 hundred yards down the beach, there's a woman screaming, "Shark, shark!" She's almost hysterical. I can't shout over her, so I wait until I'm closer. "Shark, shark!" continues. When I get closer, I tell her that it's a dolphin. She says, "Oh, I'm from Chicago."

You can't make this stuff up.

Read somewhere or saw some show saying that dolphins are one of the few species that will kill each other for reasons other than food

And we’ve all seen the dolphin intentionally whacking that SUP dude off the board

Sharks may be killers, but dolphins are straight up assholes

You know how people think swimming with dolphins is supposed to be magical? When you are swimming off Redondo Beach and visibility is like 5-10 feet and you see a large creature swimming right under you it is much more panic than magic.
