Woodway out, Precor in
I had really bad luck with my used Woodway Desmo and the company ended up taking it back and that was great. I was bummed that I ended up with a “lemon” considering everyone else is happy with their Woodway - be it used it new.

I now chose the path of least resistance and am getting a Precor TRM 835, V2 that is about 3 years old and just came from a YMCA lease.

That's too bad that the Woodway didn't work out. I always enjoyed running on them at the gym before getting my own treadmill. Just checked out the specs on that new-ish Precor - up to 16 mph sprints!! Looks like you can work on your 4-min mile pace. :)

I love the Precore 800 series and am looking at getting one myself for the home pain cave.

There are some okay deals on them used but s hipping seems to be outrageous, was the one that you found local?

I just bought a used woodway 2 days ago partly based off your article. Do you mind sharing issues you ran into just as a heads up? Thanks

Mine kept making noises and ran slightly off track. I think it must have been dropped by someone.

All others are truly happy

Did they offer a replacement? That they would take it back was nice, but did they at least offer you a very steep discount on better or new unit?

They really made all kinds of offers, but I also at that time had just learned that I tore my meniscus and thus was not sure I wanted a $6000 or a $12,000 treadmill here collecting dust possibly.

I am seemingly the only one who ended up unhappy and it was nothing big, but one thing after the other. Everyone else appears very stoked with their Woodway mill.

X2! The only time I hated it was when I moved it!
