I think t mostly depends on if Lange remembers to put a banana in his pants again.

If he does that again there is no stopping him! Bizarre.....

Adopting Dave and Marks nicknames is pretty weird... The Man and The Grip together won 12 kona and dominated the podium for over a decade, you can't just turn up to kona and start calling yourself that too. It's like coming up with a script for a new movie where the lead guy is boxer called Rocky... Lame.

What's next? Ryf calling herself Macca?

good, then we can *finally* stop hearing about "Ironwar" Every. Single. Year.

It's not the 90s any more, no savvy triathlete in the UK listens to what 220 Magazine has to say. But I may as well post it again....

"you're not a proper triathlete until you've cancelled a subscription to 220"

I don´t see Lange on the podium this year.
Boris Stein (listed as 8th) is out due to injury.

I predict the following:

1. Kienle
2. Sanders (less than 90sec difference)
3. Gomez
4. Nilsson
5. Currie
6. McNamee
7. Aeronauts
8. Lange
...

if you want to bet on wurf for champion i will give you a better quote than any page, i will add another 20 % to the best stake on whatever you find.

same goes for the guy that already has 60 on him I do you anotherer 60 on 20 % better stakes than you found.

wurf is a very good athlete but there is 0 chance him winning this year.

Might just take you up on that, sure he's far from the favorite, but it would be stupid to say he has 0% chance. If conditions are like last year, he would need a 3h run to equal Lange, and seeing as his last run was 2:52 that surely isn't impossible. Especially if he manages to make front pack.

I think 2:50 is VERY unlikely for him in Kona. He ran 2:58:58 in Zurich. Kona will be a different story. I think if he can be <3:05 there after the bike leg he is sure to put in, he should be very happy with it.

And he ran a 2:52:25 in Challenge Almere-Amsterdam in september after some heavy training camps and didn't rest up for that race, has been improving his run on pretty much every race this year. I think he has a good shot at the podium.
