You son-of-a-bitch. I was about to get DefCon 1 mad at Dimond and was thinking about flying to Des Moines and smashing my frame over TJ's head.

* That was a bit of hyperbole *

I bought my Brilliant, and then the Marquise came out eight months later. I just picked up a Marquise frame and was about to get real hot if another frame was coming out.

Back on topic - those balance bikes worked wonders on my kid and a lot of kids I know.

I figured it was pics of the disc brake bike that’s coming out.

How old were the kids you were normally teaching?

Youngest was about 3 1/2 with most of them being in the 4-5 range. Oldest was right around 7.

So not the age these bikes are made for... got it.

You can also pick them up used for like 30 bucks. The bike industry isn’t exactly making bank on these.

I assume you wouldn’t let your (future?) kids near this with no disc brakes??

Balance bikes are really good for starting with 1 year olds. So they can be on a pedal bike by 2.
Just taking the pedals off a normal bike means it's too heavy for little ones.

A year old or even 2 is pretty Impressive to start riding

chapeau !

Kids can start with the balance bike much younger. They’re smaller and easier to handle for the little ones

I think my daughter was maybe 20-22 months when we got one. She doesn’t use it much yet, but gets on it every once in awhile. They’re so cheap used it’s kinda silly not to pick one up.

Foot covers used a low profile velcro closure system for better aero. And they were pink.
3 years later the top actually kind of fits and she is on her 4th bike
