When we did our home gym, the suggestion was to use horse mats for the flooring. You can get them cheap at a Tractor Supply. We had them in for a week before we could no longer take the smell. They had a very strong rubber odor. Replaced them with heavy duty interlocking tiles from Home Depot.Thank you! I picked out a pack of these from our local HD to check out and they look pretty nice. I’m going to test them out on a hard floor before I tear out the carpet to put them on the cement.
Next questions- What lighting do you have? I’m wondering in the short ceiling area if I should put a wall light that shines up to the ceiling to avoid shadows.
Also thoughts on mirrors. As part of my de-hoarding exercise I have a bathroom wall mirror I have been saving forever I plan to mount on the wall. Any tips on mirrors?
How big of a tv is ideal in a room this size? What technologies are best- if I want one thing for tv or music -using pandora or something through the tv for simplicity- what works best?
Any favorite fans?
What else should I think about before I fire up the sawzall? (Beyond the structural building stuff and all)
