Question for the GI geeks and doctors
Question about proto bismal. I have found that taking a little before my runs (especially long runs) has really helped me to lot have gut issues. I have never raced on it though and I am curious if it will make it difficult to absorb calories? Thanks

I've taken Immodium (brand here in Australia) before long races with no issues. Seems quite common for runners - don't know how the active ingredients compare to pepto bismal though. Google 'pepto bismal for running" - lots of info available.
