If Wolgang and Mackle were faster than Amberger and Frodo, then maybe Mark would. Or if ITU racing existed, then Mark and Dave being former college swimmers would just up their swim game.
I would guess that Wolfgang and Rob were faster than those 2, as Wolfgang just missed the German Oly team, and Rob swam ( and was captain) on perhaps the most prolific team in the world at the time under Doc Councilman. I doubt seriously that Josh and Frodo were of that ability (in JUST the swim). Until his knee injuries and issues, Wolfgang was a beast, finishing 3rd in 8:20 one year at Kona.
