Not sure if they will be bringing their gravel bikes, but Lawrence is a great place to unlearn pavement. The gravel nats course last year from Clinton Lake was nice, and the 2018 course that left from Mass Ave was even better. Being on gravel helps drop your chances of getting hit by a car close to Kona, it provides extra rolling resistance, heat always seems to be multiplied on gravel (probably because you're going slower), and as everyone know, aerobars and gravel go together like peas and carrots :)

That would be awesome. Or maybe they are going to try out the Dirty Kanza 200 bike course. More and more ex-triathletes are taking up gravel riding post IM careers. No worries about cars, just cows and long, rolling gravel hills for miles and miles. Great mental training for Kona. ;-)
