Anyone knows if they really make any difference or if its just mumble jumbo !!??

swiss stop rim pads for carbon rims is fantactic, much better than shimano. Dont know how about rim brakes....

I get two new pairs before every European trip (French Alps, Italian Dolomites and Austrian Alps so far and Spain next summer). I usually get 4-6 days of solid use out of the first pair, replace them mid-trip and then the second pair finishes the trip and are on my bike for another 1-2 years until my next trip. I've done many wet descents on 303's using Swiss Stops and never had any issues stopping.
