You don’t fuck around with kids and you certainly don’t try to “manage“ them in this situation. You give them all your attention and what they need, not what you need. I suspect the OP doesn’t even realize this.

By all means you know more than the OP does about his family/work situation. Based on your post, I expect you'll want to change the quote at the end of your posts:

"If you have a dream, pursue it as hard as you can. The world needs more of that."

Unless Macho Grande disagrees with you, then abandon it I guess?

But it seems like spending every available time with the kids would be more important than running, or biking.

Imagine how bad you will feel later in life if you missed a few training sessions for a triathlon...
