Does anyone have experience with this:

I'm building up a 1x disc brake crit bike. Have the hylex on my SS Cx bike and really like them. Not sure about the button placement on this adapter.

If shimano or sram had electronic dedicated 1x systems, I would probably do that instead, but they don't (yet).

No experience with the Hylex adaptor.

For what it's worth, you can run 1x on Shimano with a DI2 mountain Rear Derailleur and Ultegra / DuraAce road levers. It works great.

It's going to be tough to source the 1x Road Ultegra RX805 rear derailleur, so going with XT or XTR is your best bet for the time being.
