Let me state for the record...

I had posted previously in a thread that my Kestrel EMS bar had broken. I was irresponsible in not previously stating that the bar had broken under my misuse. I did not have my experimental aerobar torqued down to spec, and I somehow did not get every sharp edge off of the clamp.

I do not, in any way, want to say that Kestrel was at fault, and I wish to make my part of the breaking of the bar publicly my responsibility. Further examination of the bar had clearly shown that the bar was, infact, strong enough to use a clip-on aero bar if properly tightened according to manufacturer's spec. The Kestrel EMS road bar is a very good product that offers high-value to low-dollars spent.

I apologise for any unintended mis-statement of fact. The bar had broken under my misuse. I had not intended to make any claim of product inferiority against Kestrel. I would not hesitate to buy or recommend Kestrel products, as I had used the Kestrel EMS fork for five trouble-free years.
