I think he is smart. Yes he got started off with a few million. But many people have and blown it.

Yeah, but did they have Russian oligarchs backing them?

What's up with all that? By the time I and my friends reached grade 6 we figured out that bragging / insulting each other about our intelligence was childish, tactless and ultimately socially off-putting.

I think he is smart. Yes he got started off with a few million. But many people have and blown it. He understood things about the US electorate that very few people did which is why he got elected. It was a narrow victory for sure and alot of luck was involved. Alot of smart people thought there was no way he could get elected though.

He sure does lack wisdom and is careless and alot of other negative things. Thin skinned for sure. Lacks social skills one could go on and on.

I think you are mistaken. He didn’t understand the electorate. The people and companies he hired understood them. Yuuge difference and the reason he is an utter imbecile when on his own.

Maybe but I am not sure you are a mind reader. It was smart to hire the right people to understand the electorate then. I don't like the guy but people keep underestimating him.

I don’t need to be a mind reader. We’ve heard him stumble through enough interviews and seen enough tweets, long before he became president. Utter imbecile.

He did blow it, at least once. His casino in AC was going down in flames (and likely taking him with it) until his father sent a lawyer to the casino to buy millions in chips to inject cash to cover debt. For instance.

You can see all the brilliance of Trump (and his kids!) here: https://www.motherjones.com/...-using-casino-chips/
That can't be right. That would be illegal.

I'm beginning to think that we are much more fucked than I thought.

Reminds me of my sister-in-law who is somewhat similar in that she feels the need to be the center of attention and also pretty thin-skinned, so she'll often end up pouting and kinda sabotaging the rest of the group's esprit once other people get tired of having to put up w/ her BS and either ignoring her or calling her on it... But then when my wife or their other sister tries to carefully inform her later on that maybe she should back off a little and try to hear what the others have to say so she doesn't rub them the wrong way so much, she swears it couldn't be that because she is really perceptive and empathetic ~ so they must have some other bias against her. OK, then...

Shit, I didn't know $200mm was "a few million." Apparently, as I've heard it, his smartest financial decision would have been investing it rather than trying to pretend he was an intelligent business tycoon, as he'd be worth substantially more money than he currently is....and maybe then he wouldn't keep trying to convince us he's so intelligent.

Everybody knows that Trump is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, except for Trump. But even if he was, it doesn't change the fact that he's an embarrassment as a president.
