What is really strange is that some really good motorcycles cost less than a friggin' bicycle these days. Never even thought about it until I stopped doing tris and got back into motorcycles.

I rode for decades, from 18 until about 5 years ago before I stopped. One too many idiots trying to kill me while they played with their phone caused me to stop, as life being alive is more important than life dead while riding.

It is becoming less common as well, the motorcycle parking spots at my place of employment are rarely used this year compared to just a few years in the past. Too many cyclists have become hood ornaments to idiots who can't get their attention off the latest tweet or instagram message to drive with anything approaching care for others.

Just got back from my trip to Sturgis. 4700 miles in 10 days. Unbelievable riding out there.

My 2003 SV650. I've been riding since I was 15.....this is the best bike I've ever owned. Used mostly for commuting now..

I do like the SV's. I just picked up an 06 SV1000S over the weekend (see above). So much fun...

My last bike was a sv650 with gsxr 750 front end, penske double on the rear, hot cams, gp shifting, hmmm what else... well... and stock exhaust. I can't stand loud exhausts. Anyway, I figured I was going to kill or greatly hurt myself on that bike as I did a lot of stupid stuff like 100 mph through the mtns, etc. So, I decide to sell it and get on a bicycle. I never went down on a motorcycle after it being my only transportation for years, lucky I guess. Fast forward a few years on a bicycle: broken collar bone(s), broken arm, split a bike frame in half, etc. etc. Funny, life that is.
