In a previous life many moons ago, I was an orthopedic tech. The only thing we did with broken toes was tape them to the toe next door with non allergenic tape. Walk gingerly at first but you'll likely be fine after a few weeks.

Unless you've got bone sticking out of the skin, I'm in the "tape that bitch up and wash down a couple of ibuprofen with a beer" treatment camp. I've broken all of my toes at one point or another. First couple times/toes I had them checked out, all the other times I've just taped and let them heal.

My wife broke her toe a month or two ago. Got a little swollen and a lot black and blue. We just taped it.

I think I heard at least 3-5 x’s a day her telling the kids , “watch out for my toe!”

I think it took 3-5 weeks for her to walk normal again and in shoes comfortable. Upside for her was wearing flip flops to work for weeks.

I taped it to a neighbor toe and am getting on with life. Hardest part is keeping the little humans away from and off of it!

Yes, go to a doctor. I broke my toe long time ago, it somehow get infected and had to have a surgery. It hurt like hell.

Like someone else stated, if it's the big toe go get it checked out. Otherwise, tape it to the next to w some athletic tape, keep icing it, and baby it for a while. No walking around the house barefoot!

You could go Ronnie Lott on that toe but that might be drastic.

Definitely NOT doing that!! That dude was one tough motherfucker!!

Haha, sorry! I was pushing my daughter on a tricycle (she’s 16 months and too small to pedal it) and I kicked one of the tires. My fault for wearing flip flops to play!!
