Such and honorable and admirable thing to do. Beyond good. Congrats.

Making a strong family from broken families is the best thing someone can do so well done to you and your wife.

Well done, good on ya' for making an admirable commitment to bring a child into what's clearly a warm and loving household.
Except for the cats, of course.

We can only hope they grow up to be runners, but I'm not optimistic...
Still, wish your family health and happiness.

correct. we adopted her brother a little over a year and a half ago.
Thanks!
A guy I used to work with adopted a girl from the Ukraine years ago. I forget how old she was but I think was in early elementary school. They brought her back from the Ukraine and she seemed very unhappy. Finally, she said she missed her sister. My co-worked and his wife had no idea she had a sister and the agency never told them. They went back to the Ukraine and adopted the sister, too. IIRC the sister was older.
Good for you. You did a great thing. Only down side is she going to grow up in Canada :)

Thanks everyone (even you smartasses...) ! We're pretty excited about this, as you can imagine. Little man is really looking forward to be a big bro too, so that's nice to see.
we got the "official" rundown on the social history of the little girl and her birth parents last night, not much that we didn't already know, but a few additional things were revealed that we didn't know and it reinforced that this is definitely in her best interest.

Allowing the siblings to grow up together in the same household is super-awesome and beyond words. You and your wife have transformed their life trajectory. Well done.

Congratulations all around. Making the world a better place. Being able to keep those kids together is truly amazing and I'm certain they will both appreciate it when they grow up. Our little boy has two older siblings that weren't up for adoption and that I can't really imagine a situation where he would meet, much less have a meaningful relationship.
Good on you guys.
