Concept2 BikeErg for tri training....?
Hi all - like many of us, I've got a smart trainer that I've (mostly) enjoyed using for a few years now (the original Kickr). However, as a Concept2 rowing machine owner and long time fan, I'm curious to know what people think about bike training with their newer BikeErg. It uses the same fan unit and display head unit as the rower, and lacks the "smart trainer" ability to control your output. What it does have is the ability to provide a pretty accurate (I believe) power output reading.

As I'm now heartily sick and tired of the dance that comes with putting bikes on and off the Kickr, I'm giving some thought to the BikeErg as a replacement. Their rowers are virtually indestructible, their customer service is superb, and the seat height, reach, etc. are all adjustable. Anyone using one or got any comments on why doing so might not work as well?

Cheers!
MM
