One of my Chesapeake Bay Retrievers is showing signs of DM. Anyone else have experience with this. He has always been such a pleasure to train. In spite of my best efforts to always screw up his field training he some how always figured it out.
Just fucking sucks!!!
No experience with DM but lost my last retriever unexpectantly and inexplicably at age 7 and current one is 12. Feeling your pain. A real working dog is a special thing. Feel good that you've given him something that most don't get - the opportunity to do what he's bred to do. Good luck.
I’m so sorry to hear about your pup. I have an old girl that is sick too. It breaks my heart.
