Ridge Wallet

I saw this on The Chive last weekend and bought one this morning:

3K carbon weave and 1.6 oz. I haven't seen wind tunnel data on it but it looks fast. I can't wait to see how much time it takes off my check-out time Buffalo Wild Wings. I'm guessing at least 10 seconds per transaction.

I do need a new wallet, but i just can't even fathom spending that much on one.

edit: there are many rip-offs on amazon for under $30

I actually received the blue aluminum version as a father's day gift last year and really like it. I didn't like the money clip part so took it off and replaced it with the elastic strap to hold my cash. It's not as bulky and doesn't get caught in my pocket anymore.

What didn't you like about the money clip? Does the strap still hold cash securely? I almost always pay in cash, so want to make sure that whatever wallet I choose has as tight a grip on it as my cheap-skate-butt.

Too bulky for me and it would inevitably get caught on something.

Absolutely! I feel like it holds the cash more tightly than the clip.

Other than when I travel, I use cash for everything. I don't even carry a card with me - ever - except for my company credit card (makes expense reimbursement easier).
