Tech suits worth it?
Getting back into swimming more seriously, been years since I wore skins and wondering how much of a difference they make?
I've heard people talking in the region of a second/100 which is pretty big.

Have currently been racing in speedo endurance jammers and see everyone at galas with arena carbon pros (£190 pricey! Sorry for the UK centrism there). See cheaper versions like the arena powerskin ST 2 for £50, is there a big differential in performance between cheap and expensive tech suits?

Any thoughts much appreciated :)

Taped seams are definitely better than stitched for big meets. Look around and you can find speedo lzr 2's or carbon pros on sale, (I paid $50 Canadian for mine because they were a discontinued colour)

I have a tyr tech suit with stitched seams that gets used for in season meets, and it's good, but not as nice as the speedos. Whether that translates into actual speed, who knows.
