I also don't recall a President having so many damn lawyers. Dowd, Cohen, Cobb, Sekulow, McGahn, Kasowitz. Did I miss any? Oh, right, the TV guy. Digenova.

I recently heard Cohen describe himself as Trump's longtime "fixer." Because, you know, normal people of high moral character definitely need a fixer on their payroll.

There's got to be (or if not, likely being built) some great visualization tool out there online showing all of the turnover/hiring/firing in the WH for easy reference.

I imagine the transition from lawyer to fixer has to be the point where the lawyer gets his client out of some serious shit that their client was guilty of?

I'm guessing at some point some lawyers and clients get so deep in each other's shit that it's just a matter of mutual interest to do crazy shit like take a lien on your home to pay a porn star hush money.

I think you're right about the last bit. Trump relying less on advisers is a bad direction.

One of the countless bad directions that was easily predicted, as he said explicitly that he's his own best advisor on several occasions.

Dowd also led the investigation of Pete Rose way back when and wrote the infamous Dowd Report that led to his being banned from baseball.
