I have stayed at the Residence Inn in Oceanside. It is about a 10 Min drive on race morning but easy and I like having a bit more room. Also, there is a Springhill Suites a stone's throw from the race, that is a great option as well.

Do you know the date for next year? I have done this 3 times and great race to do if it falls on my family Spring Break week

If avoiding driving, you can stay near the start and have a short morning walk/longer post race walk (about a mile) or near the finish and vice versa.

Near the start, there is a Holiday Inn that's pretty nice, and next door to that is a Days Inn. HI is quite a bit more.

I'd advise making reservations soon after this year's edition, as it fills up fast

I thought it would be better to have a little more room than a hotel and maybe a kitchen too. Can anyone recommend a Vacation Rental By Owner place for 3 near the race site?

Thanks,
Mike
