When this occurs and it doesn't even merit a mention (for any number of reasons) in the Lavender Room.

Quote:
WASHINGTON — Hope Hicks, the White House communications director, told House investigators on Tuesday that her work for President Trump, who has a reputation for exaggerations and outright falsehoods, had occasionally required her to tell white lies.

Nor does the fact that she wouldn't answer many questions during her testimony yesterday register much surprise or outrage. Specifically, she wouldn't answer questions about her role in crafting the misleading "adoptions" explanation for the Trump Tower meeting in 2016. I guess we'll see if she gets subpoenaed, but I that's up to the majority on the committee...

Well, it's been announced that she will be resigning in the next few weeks.

A complete coincidence, I'm sure. Right up there with "spending more time with my family."

Ms. Hicks had been considering leaving for several months. She told colleagues that she had accomplished what she felt she could with a job that made her one of the most powerful people in Washington, and that there would never be a perfect moment to leave, according to White House aides.
