received a notification that someone was trying to log into my acct from jakarta. let's just say i'm not near there. never have been either. denied them then changed my password right away.

i cant get messenger on my computer and my iphone to 'sych'. i'm sure i'm using the wrong term but i think/hope i'm conveying what my issue is. it seems my computer is logged on through my apple acct email and my phone is logged on via my phone number. i've checked my apple acct and both the email and phone number on that acct are correct. so why my computer vs phone is showing up as different, as in two different acct's, i dont understand.

on my computer, i've gone into preferences->acct, then tried to add an acct but it will only accept an email acct.

what am i missing and how do i get everything on the same page please?
