New Canyon Speedmax with discs

Just popped up on Canyon's instagram. IMO: 10x nicer than the P5X

1x11 with eTap?

Based on looks alone, I want that over any other beam-style bike out there.

LOL....looks like they shot that in the shadows because they just slapped some disc-brake wheels in a non-disc frame. No calipers, hoses or cables in sight.

And that is one seriously slack HT angle.

Vaguely reminiscent of the Peugeot Onyx Concept Bike

That is really cool but it looks like another concept idea.

From the Instagram link:
Design is a fundamental part of our identity. We believe you can say more about a bike through its form than with a thousand words, which is why we actively encourage our team to work on design studies. These allow our fresh minds the freedom of expression to play with concepts that may one day set the benchmark in riding performance. Check back soon to see more.

Maybe it's just an idea?

Agreed. This looks like more of prototype bike than anything

Not even a prototype. That's just a design render without a way to like...turn the front end.

Now this idea of integrating the brake caliper inside the fork is something that might change my mind about discs. Maintenance nightmare, but cool concept.

Didn't want to create a new thread, bumped this up for possible updates.

Anyways, in a few months it will be 2020! Anyone have news if Canyon is going to release a disc brake version of there Speedmax? Maybe those who are well connected in the bicycle industries may know a thing or 2.

If you do, please share! Currently, I'm out hunting for my first Tri bike. And I'm seriously interested in the Speedmax series.

Regards
Clifford
