I'm doing it. Some gals and I are driving down on Friday from the Bay Area and for one of them, it's her first century. I did it last year and had a blast. They do a nice job of organizing it, and who can complain about sunny skies and +70F weather? It is pretty cold in the morning, but warms up nicely. I had some friends last year who did it as a time trial on their tandem, pulling along another friend the entire 100 miles (though he had just finished riding from SF to San Diego the day before).
