I have never had any issues with my Torpedo Versa. The bite valve is easy to get water out of.

I got this (the 500) this year and have now used it in two races - Tremblant 70.3 and TTF olympic. I replaced an older Versa because I could never crank the straps on tight enough to keep the computer mount from bouncing. The new one solved this, without compromising anything else. Love it. Looks good too, but that doesn't matter to anyone right?

Cheers!

The Aero Computer mount is included, no matter where you buy it. There should have been a small baggie on the side in the hidden compartment.

Let me know if you can find it in the packaging. If not shoot me an email.

Hi Candice,

Will the mount work with oval aero bars rather than the round aero bars? I use pro missile evo bars, so just want to make sure they fit correctly.

Also, I have the older Torpedo 400 carbon system and there's always leaks in the bottle.. I think it has to do with the small hole in the solid lid cap.. Does the new bottle eliminate that hole?

I have to ask my engineer on those bars. Are you able to email me directly on that question?

As far as the leaking question, the Versa 500 does eliminate that small hole in the solid lid cap and in replace is a breather valve at the very front of the bottle. This Breather Valve let's air in, but keeps liquids from coming out.

Candice,

Do these spacers still exist, I could not find them on your site? Also, is it just to level the bottle, or to level the entire platform/mount? Is there a concern that the aero benefits would be lessened by having the mount angled up at ~ 15 degrees?

Thanks!

Hey,

Glad to hear you are liking the Versa!! We do offer some spacers which can help level the bottle. If you want to make sure you get the last drop of liquid, I would recommend leveling it. Another tip is cutting the straw at an angle and run the long side of the straw along the bottom to theoretically scoop the liquid up.

I will send your feedback onto our team about leveling the bottle for angled aerobars. Appreciate the feedback!

Hey,

Yep we still have some albeit limited numbers on certain colors/sizes, though you can spray paint the magenta ones. You can find them here: https://xlab-usa.com/...66-aero-spacers.html

The use of the spacers is very individualized. It depends on that person's setups and what they want to accomplish.

Same answer with the aero benefits. You can have wind come from all directions - though most tests are run at 10 degrees from the front. Then there are different hand positions, whether both hands are on their respective extensions, or one is cupping their hands at the very front. As a general statement, if you are angled up at 15 degrees than yes it could have an affect on the aero benefits, though there are other factors that can come into play.
