This landed in my mail today. 112 miles of closed roads!!

BIKE
What is the road surface like?
Mostly smooth pavement, some sections of superior pavement, some sections of slightly inferior pavement. All considered, the road surface will be pleasant.

How severe is the climbing?
The revised route stays entirely in the Sacramento Valley. There are no sustained climbs and there is minimal elevation change from the lowest to the highest part of the route. There are numerous rolling hills and gentle, almost imperceptible grades that will impact your speed.

What is the traffic control plan?
J&A Productions and the City of Folsom have arranged for the unprecidented athlete benefit of completely closed roads for the entire 112-mile bike course. Spectators wishing to catch the action may proceed to the numerous bike turnaround road barricade areas to view the riders.

What is the location and content of the bike course aid stations?
Bike aid stations will be located approximately every 15 miles. These aid stations will provide bike water bottles with water or energy drink, energy bars, energy gels, bananas, peanut butter sandwiches, fig bars, Snickers® bars, de-fizzed cola, strawberries and grapes.

Oh man, I just got back from the J & A website. The gears in my head are turnin' trying to figure a way to work the 1/2 into my academic schedule. Sounds like a nice course.
