I have an Ultegra double (ie 109.5mm spindle), but the cups are Italian thread.

The BBs are not hard to find just no one stocks them. I am ordering some right now for a customer and have no difficulty with getting them from QBP or Shimano Direct. Your LBS should be able to help you out. MSRP for Ultegra (which is the more durable) = $49; a DuraAce and 105 versions are also available.

Here in Seattle we have "rain bikes" that are the best of the rest of your parts (plus beefy fenders and lights) so we see a fair number of Octalink bikes.

All the Octalink BB for double rings are 109.5 length, the triples are longer but we don't sell no stinkin' triples ;-)
