road bike fit--same as tri bike fit?

Can You take the numbers from your road and put them into tri and vice?versa?

Ahh, well.... The body dimensions are (of course) the same but the bike fit and position are likely to be substantially different. Also, if your body measurements from your road bike are over 6 months old, I would consider them "stale" and get fresh ones taken. Some things are a given- like, if your saddle height on the road bike is 73cm. then your saddle height on the tri bike is gonna be the same but at a different orinetation to the bottom brakcet possibly (probably). Remember, that is "straight line" distance, measured center of bottom bracket spindle to center/top of saddle. I know I don't have remind you to keep the same crank length, pedal system and watch the thickness of your shoe soles if you use a couple different pairs.
