Hi all...

I think you guys have seen my TT bike before...

http://webpages.charter.net/...llahack/DSCN0419.jpg

I am just about averaging 25 mph for my 10 mile TT's...

I want to start doing some CAT 5 competing next year...

As you can see the bike is very aero, EXCEPT for the frame...

Well i want to replace it with this frame here... Take a look...

http://webpages.charter.net/...llahack/DSCN0019.jpg

Wondering if this is good for TT's... and in compairison with the first RED TT bikes frame... How much better/worse is this frame ???

Also got this bottle holder.... Take a look...

Is this good ??? or what...???

As you can see... I am new to the whole TT thing...

thanks for your help...

Any "GOOD" advice is welcome...

take care...

ciao ciao

The GT Edge you have there is certainly in very good condition. The geometry of a GT was also pretty slack, so it should fit very similar to your current bike. Though I don't know how well a blue frame will go with all your red stuff, (it would be a shame to repaint such a gorgous blue edge.)

If you've already got the edge, I'd say great, you'll definetly be more aero.

If not, you may want to check www.bikeparts.net
They've got a lot of first class frames for really cheap.

HEY!!! GOOD EYE!!!

It is a GT edge aero... How did you know ?

ALso ... BAD EYE!!! its not blue... Its black... HAHAHAHA....

Hey dont worry... I have all the equipment for automotive painting...

It will match the front/rear wheels and the fork... In fact its already stripped... its only bare 6061 aluminium right now... HAHAHA... sorry i killed the painjob... Also... I got the frame for 200$... is that ok price?

no fork ... just the frame... as you see it in the pic... Thanks... for all your advice...

take care...

PS : what about the bottle holder...?

- oops. I see that now.

$200 for an edge is a pretty good deal. I believe it had greater than a 3-to-1 tube depth ratio that probably makes it faster than most of today's TT frames.

PS : what about the bottle holder...?

Like the holder, but how heavy are those cages? Maybe upgrade to carbon, or better yet, get the bright red Salsa titanium cages. (you can find them through R&A Cycles)

Hey thanks for such a fast repley...

I am very excited about trying this frame out...

The cages are 43g each... not too bad... only 6$ each as well...

i saw some CF cages that were 20$ each and they were only 30g each... not much of a savings...

Arent most TT's on flat areas... ???

Thanks

I thought I saw a post by Gary Timetrial.org that had what must have been your bike (first one) on this site before. Or did you maybe post a picture of it on this site before? For some reason I think I have seen it before, maybe I am dreaming, who knows I am totally devoid of caffine at this time.
