Hyperbole help!

If you have the time and some ideas please help a under-developed country with some foreign aid on this one:

I'm somewhat involved in the norwegian long distance triathlon Norseman Extreme Triathlon. It was run as a test this year with 21 at the start and with 19 that finished. In 2004 it will be arranged August the 7th as an open race but with 125 at the starting line as a limit.

If you go to this site you will find a description of the course and here you will find many pictures from this years event.

OK so far so good, but : This year it was said that this was the hardest, roughest, toughest ironman distance triathlon. That is mostly for national use, in order to secure some space in the media. But the slogan: The toughest ..... is a little bit of the mark and will always lead to discusisons along the line of "nah Embrunman is the hardest, because of the weather Lanzarote will alway be....".

What is special about this triathlon? It goes from A to B. It starts at one side of a famous norwegian Fjord and ends at the roof of Norway. It is very scenic. And very steep. When you finish at the top of the mountain Gaustadtoppen, you are really one of the Heroes of Telemark (anyone seen the film?) and you will have a fantastic view.

If we in 2004/2005 hope to attract more international triathletes, with what sort of catch-phrases should we market this event?

"The fjord to mountain long distance triathlon", "Triathlon goes berserk" , "The triathlon to the top".....

Or is these types of phrases a thing of the past? Other Sugestions as to how to make this competiotion known and interesting?

"The Triathlon that will have you pining for the fjords"

"Earn your horns: the Norsemen Tri"

Seriously, though, that photo of the guy coming out of the water should be part of the marketing.
