When developing the 5 7 5 we tried different surface finishes. This finish was made using peel ply cloth creating a finish we didn't want. The finish is gray in color.
We went ahead and made eight wheels with this stuff using the 5 7 5 hubs and rims. They are all under .020 in rollout and roundness (very nice). The surface did make them heavier then the 5 7 5 by 50 grams but they are lighter then the current wheel. These wheels will have no logos but will carry full warranties and satisfaction guarantees.
