I was thinking of picking up a set of these for fun but cant find them anywhere - does anyone know where to buy these or have any information on them? Also has anyone seen the wind tunnel data comparing these to a real disc?
I have run a couple of searches and cant find anything on them at all.
(I intend on getting a real disc but want these to play with/ train on so I am used to the feel of a disc)
I think excelsports is the only place that sells CH covers. Kraig Willett put them in the tunnel and did a good article on them a while back. He concluded that they were just as good as a "real" disc, as long as you got a good seal between the cover and the rim. Cobb tested them and came to the same conclusion. You can get a copy of Kraig's article on his site. I think its biketechreview.com but I'm not sure. You have to buy a subscription but its pretty cheap. Maybe five bucks and he has some other interesting stuff on there as well that you get access to for your $5 (or whatever it is). Not sure whether Cobb wrote up his results but you can check his site.
