Carpinteria Tri Any1?
I am all set up to do the Carpinteria Tri next weekend, Oly distance. Was there yesterday to check out the course, very pretty, but the bike leg was pretty much nonstop hills. Psyched me out a bit, I am still trying to convince myself I can still RACE the course as opposed to just going for a finish. I just wanted to drop a message to see if any of you all are doing this race with me.

Love this board! As a newbie (first season and first Oly) I have learned a lot from the experienced vets on this board, hope to see a couple of you in Carpinteria next weekend.

Part of any race is knowing the course and being able to manage your effort to provide the best results. For you, managing your effort on the bike will mean having a good run. For those who go out and hammer the bike, only to burn up on the run, they have raced, but not raced SMART.

Race smart, manage your effort on the bike, have a strong run.
