Saddle question.
Which saddles have people found to be comfortable? My wife is super sensitive, and seems to be having a lot of discomfort when she rides aero. We have tried the cobb saddles, but to no avail, and the ism was the same deal. Does anyone have any better suggestions?

I'm currently struggling with my ISM saddle but it was suggested to try the "breakaway" version so I hope to demo that. Took me several months to find a good one for my road bike and went with a specialized oura I think. Not sure what they have for tri bikes but may be worth a shot. Find a shop that lets you demo them, good way to try them out.

Not having tried the Cobb or other double type saddles i can't comment on those. I have found the Selle Italia Gel Diva to be comfortable, set on a slight downward (nose down) angle so that it's not, umm, y'know... sticking up or pushing in when bending forwards in aero. It's quite well padded on the nose and i don't wear padded shorts when cycling (Soas race shorts or just plain old unpadded lycra shorts). There is still some "getting used to" element to any saddle i think, and i do tend to move around a fair bit when riding - keeps the pressure from building up anywhere too. It would be worth going to your LBS and asking to trial a few different saddles and also play with the saddle position and tilt to see if that helps.
I wish your wife luck and happy girl=parts :)

I have been doing triathlons for 31 years and haven't found a perfect saddle. I am riding John Cobbs and it is very good. Only have problems on a few of my rides. But if it doesn't work for you it doesn't work. I used to ride the Selle San Marco gel around. It was ok too.

I had no problems with saddles UNTIL I went aero and then fiddled around with fit ad nauseum and then a lovely angel gifted me an Adamo. I've been hooked ever since. My pain was all in the clitoral area, though, so that might be it. It took a couple months to get comfy on the Adamo (Road) and I still have to get out of teh saddle every 20km or so or I'm numb. So I think a fit would be in order. HOWEVER, night and day from the pain and bleeding (yup, open sores) I had before.
