This message was sent to me by the Gatorade Sports Science Institute. GSSI is looking for some athletes who will compete at this years race in Kona for a study. You can find out information on the study at the links listed below. Good luck with your training! Z
Tom: Hope the race went well this weekend!
As you know, GSSI is funding another research project in Kona in
collaboration with Ed Coyle and the University of Texas. I was hoping
to
see if you could help with recruiting athletes for the study. I'm
putting
you in touch with Matt Pahnke who is facilitating details of the project
for
Ed. They have a website for the study, www.edb.utexas.edu/ssn/ironman,
which contains the recruitment forms. Hopefully, you can work together
on
some ideas for recruiting the athletes.
The attached flyer for the project will be placed in each athlete's bag
when
he checks in for the race. They won't see the flyer until the week
before
the race, so we'll need to do more to generate interest. I'm working
with
Jan Anderson to get the flyer on the www.ironmanlive.com website.
