Looking for an alumni of the Los Angeles Triathlon to grace the world wide web with information.

I am signed up next week, but this is my first year in southern Cal. Thus I am wondering:

1. What's the parking like at Venice beach?

2. What time do you arrive to get a good spot in the transition area?

3. Where the best place for my wife and four kids to watch the race?

4. Ouch on the entry fee. But I don't suppose there's an answer for this one....
