Where can I find info about Lake Monona - water quality, water temp, vegetation growth? Does this lake tend to have bacteria problems after heavy rains?

Monona has been open all summer long - but the surrounding lakes (Wingra & Mendota) have both been closed for health concerns...ecoli, I believe. Nothing in the news has been said that the water is in any risk and people are out there skiing, boating and fishing every day so I think we're okay...
I think last year they dredged (sp?) the lake and took care of some of the vegetation issues in the area where the swim is....I have been in it once this summer and it wasn't too bad.
The weather is starting to cool down...getting ready for a great race!
