No, I keep a PR list, but it sure does take course into account. Try a normal half IM, then go do Wildflower. Same distance, two very different races. Or, go race Half Vineman where you may get a 6:45 AM start and then the next year, a 9:00 AM start. Again, two very different races due to weather (30F difference normally).

I am talking about 2000 IM California where the Marines used military GPS to measure the swim course. It was dead nuts 2.4 Miles, 2.4 NAUTICAL Miles that is, not the 2.4 STATUTE Miles the race organizers wanted. It works out to be about 2.76 statute miles or an extra 637 yards.
