In need of illumination
I've recently moved from the eastern edge of the central time zone (Chicago area) to the western edge of the eastern time zone (mid-Michigan). So, whereas 5am was light enough to work-out there in Chi-town, it's too dark here in Michigan.

So, I need some sort of headlamp or something that will make the rutted dirt roads safe to run on here. Can anyone make a recommendation?

Thanks!

Dave

Dave,
we used the Light & Motion lights at the 24 hours of Laguna Seca. On the night laps I was unable to overdrive my light, off-road! Their high-end model looks like a BMW headlight. Superbright. Check them out: http://www.bikelights.com/

I run with a Black Diamond 4-LED headlamp. A headlamp won't let you see shadows of obstacles in the road. So, for the rough stuff, I carry an LED flashlight.
