Couple of months ago, i posted that the YKK zipper on my fairly new QR Superfull, had broken off at the tab. This I fixed by substituting the metal pull tab with a zip tie.

This time, the metal piece with which the original pull tab/now zip tie, was attached too, also broke off, leaving only the main zipper body, the gizmo that meeshes the zip teeth together.

Whats left is a small bump of metal, with a small hole ,say 0.5 mm diameter. Only thing I can figure is to use one of those swivel links used for fishing tackle, and solder it shut. Otherwise, I'd have to ship the suit from here, Singapore, to QR to have the entire assembly replaced = $$.

Moral of the storey, always check your gear, no matter how insignificant it may seem, before race or training.
