I just brought this case round trip on Delta. No problem. Their luggage spec is length plus width plus height must be 62 inches or less. Depending on how you measure, the case either just makes it or just misses it. In practice it has been no problem, but if they say it is oversized, it is $80 on Delta. Check your carrier's baggage policies before you go, but you should be OK.

I've been using the hard shell three wheel case for about 15 years now (on my second one) and have never been charged extra for it. It has always checked as regular luggage.
