My goals were to swim 10k (done), do hips/shoulders once (not done), and finish thesis edits (not done but worked on).
M - 6.2 mi + 1500 yd swim
T - 6 mi + 2000 yd swim
W - 7 mi + 4000 yd swim
T - 8.2 mi + 3500 yd swim
F - 8 mi + 3700 yd swim
S - 5.8 mi + 3000 yd swim
S - 8 mi
Totals: 49.2 mi run + 17,700 yd swim
I'm happy with both the swim volume and some fast sets of various types in it.
Goal for this week - finish the thesis edits in CH. 5, swim 10k, try my new coping skill when I get stressed (it's a quick meditation thing).

Tough one for me. Had to take care of some family and other matters, which took away from training time. Managed to get a longish bike in on a not so cold day, and most of my runs. Also had a great swim week; low volume but new levels of intensity. I do feel unexpectedly achy today. That and a sudden weight increase makes me think that maybe my (rather infrequent these days) visitor is about to make an appearance.
Plan this week is for 8 runs (have to chase the 100/100 spreadsheet), 4 bikes and 3 swims.
No coasting in running and no crying in baseball
I had a good week. I started to train seriously for IM TX.
Monday Swim 30 min
Tuesday a.m. run 8, p.m. FTP test bike - core
Wednesday run 5 a.m., Bike 1:10 p.m.
Thursday run 5 a.m., Swim 50 min, bike 1 hour p.m. - core
Friday run 9
Saturday, quick 5 mile run before 3:20 bike ride - core
Sunday, run 14
Totals
run 47 miles.
Bike 6:44 hours
Swim twice (1:26). Not great for most, but for me - amazing!
My run is super slow. Any time I try to pick up pace it's like someone's sticking an knife in my backside. But I think it's getting better.
Goals for this coming week. It'll be a little tougher as my girls are coming home for the weekend, but I still want to get 50 miles running, 6 hours bike, and 2:30 swim. Continue core 3 x week.
