fold tubular in half, sticky side in, then roll/fold into a bundle. After that,
classic setup: use toe-clip strap through the saddle rails to secure the spare under the seat;
tri-geek setup: use one of the bottle holders behind the seat;
boring simple way: buy a bigger bag.

If you use a toe-strap like this, you will eventually wear a hole in the sidewall of the spare tire, which will go BOOM! when you use it. At the least, wrap the tubular in something that will resist wear.

Better solution: sell the tubular wheels and buy high quality clinchers...

One problem: there is no such thing as high-quality clincher wheels for racing.

Clinchers are CRAP!!!!! Plain and simple. There is no such thing as a good clincher, except for training.

I mean no personal offense by going after this quote, but tubulars are the only REAL choice for race wheels- just ask any of the winners of the Tour de France. The person in the thread asked for a tubular storage solution, and selling his tubular rims is not a good solution. I am not going to go into the arguments as to why they are better, as I have gone over and over this many a time. I don't want this to become a personal thing (as it is not personal for me). We have another convert who wants to win races, and therefore wants to ride tubulars.

Tufo makes a very nice bag for your high quality tubular tyre.

Fixed my first TUFO with about two grams of tufo goo and in all of five minutes had it pumped up to 120 and have had no problems.You should still carry a spare but this is a fast option. Cullen
