I didn't make training goals last week - I was too focused on schoolwork.
I tend to train in the morning, and last week Maine got cold. It's also dark in the mornings now. Consequently, I didn't get on my bike until the weekend (save for a very short 2 miles on the stationary bike at the gym, which I used as a cooldown). I missed it! Week looked like this:

M - 8.5 mi run + 2500 yd swim
T - 5.2 mi run + 3500 yd swim
W - 4.9 mi run + 2100 yd swim
T - 8.5 mi run + 2.7 mi bike + 2500 yd swim
F - 8 mi run + 2800 yd swim
S - 14 mi run + 60 min yoga
S - 5 mi run + 18 mi bike

I did my hip exercises twice and walked about 3 miles. One of the runs - Wednesday - was a mini speed workout with 3 x quarter mile and 1 x 1 mile at 6:40 pace - fartlek run, so there were looong recoveries between the quarters ;) Totals are 14.4k swim, 20.7 mi bike, 52.3 mi run. And I had a great week for schoolwork :-)

I have today and tomorrow off - fall break - and I am home. I'm doing schoolwork in the mornings and summer camp work (we have offseason work, mostly fundraising) in the afternoons. The schoolwork goal is to finish the "units" chapter over today and tomorrow.
Training goals - ride at least 3x ; swim 3x ; the running always takes care of itself.

268 miles on the bike from 10/1 to 10/9.

Swam 4 times (which is 4x more than I have in the past 3 years).

Walked a lot.

Had a blast in Kona and got to FINALLY meet STer Kristi.

Totally fun 10 days and I fly home tomorrow.

TC, sounds like you had a great week! Me, I'm still fighting off malaise from the flu. Dreaded my bike today, which is really not like me, and ended up cutting it short. Goal for this week is to just stay on track with scheduled workouts as I taper for an upcoming race.

No coasting in running and no crying in baseball

Tigerchik - Looks like you got a lot of running in! Well done. I hate to say it out loud - but you might need a trainer for winter. I'm in Texas, so I know nothing about how to bike in cold and snow. But I know I wouldn't get out. Something to think about.

My week was ok.
I wanted to swim 2-3 times, and didn't get to the pool once. :(
Bike - Not quite what I wanted. I did 2 w/o. Need to increase to 3 this coming week. My Saturday bike was cut short due to Longhorns playing (horribly) early on Saturday morning. I'm hoping from here out to keep my Sat rides up to at least 50 miles.
Running - had shin splints midweek, took 1.5 days off. Managed 53 miles on 5 days. But sadly my marathon paced run was cut short due to glut pain. I went to massage yesterday, and she said really due to hamstrings, so I'm am stretching like crazy.

This week:
Swim - 2 x, for at least 4K.
Bike - 3 x for at least 5 hours
Run- 5-7 times for at least 55 miles.

Good luck everyone. Happy training.

last week's goals:
- 4 runs, all easy: WIn for frequency, FAIL for "easy". feet just want to go fast, apparently.
- 2 bike: WIN, and my husband joined me for both, which is even better!
- 3 swim: WIN
- 4 core/strength: WIN

this week's goals:
- 4 runs
- 2 bike
- 3 swim
- 4 core/strength
- foam roll

nothing particular planned for this week (other than a nice long trail ride with my sweetheart yesterday) so hopefully i can find some time to hit the foam roller. i've been neglectful, so it's been months!

cheers!
